Sydney McLaughlin to Make Collegiate Debut Friday at Hoosier OpenBy Adam Kopet Sydney McLaughlin will make her collegiate debut Friday at the Hoosier Open, according to the meet entries. The Kentucky freshman is entered in the 300 meters. Also entered in the 300 meters is McLaughlin's hurdling teammate Jasmine Camacho-Quinn. As a high school senior last year at Union Catholic NJ, McLaughlin broke the high school indoor records for the 300 and 400 meters. She ran 36.82 for the 300 and 51.61 for the 400. McLaughlin also broke high school records for the outdoor 300-meter and 400-meter hurdles. She ran 38.90 for the 300-meter event at the Arcadia Invitational and 53.82 for the 400-meter event at the USATF Outdoor Championships. The latter was also a world U20 record. More news |
